With over 50 years of excellence, Aitken Laboratories has built a reputation for high-quality geotechnical, mineral, and environmental investigations. Now, as part of the Celnor Group’s Built Environment division, we’re expanding our team with an experienced Laboratory Technician to support our UKAS accredited soil testing lab.
About the role: In this role, you’ll be essential in preparing soil samples and performing key geotechnical tests, including California Bearing Ratios, Triaxial tests, Moisture Content, Atterberg Limits, PSDs, and Compactions—all upholding strict UKAS standards. Familiarity with in-situ tests (plate loading, CBRs, Sand Replacement Tests) is a plus, but training is available!
Key requirements:
– 1 year of experience in Quality Control and Laboratory Information Management Systems
– Competence in laboratory soil testing
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Location: In-person
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000/year + Benefits (incl. company pension)
